December Has Arrived!

December is here and my crafting is heading into high gear.  I am currently working on quilts, a knitted jacket, socks, washcloths, making soap, jewerly and so much more.  As you can see my workload is heavy.  Luckily for me I started these before the holidays, so on some, all I need to do is finish them up.

I will have all three (3) of my artificial Christmas trees put up this year.  I told the kids that we are going to really celebrate it this year.  The Christmas spirit will be in the air.  As for the kids and grandkids, I told them that we will be having an "Old Fashion Christmas", which translate into they have to make their gifts.  They pulled one name out of the hat and have to make something for this person and they only have a $10.00 materials max limit.  This way the kids can get creative.  Those are the best gifts.

As I progress in my Christmas gift list, I will take and add photos to this blog.  Until then........

Happy Crafting!

Halloween Is Here!

Wow, where has the time gone for 2014.  It is already Halloween and soon Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I better hurry and get my gifts created.

I am finishing up a quilt for my grandson's birthday, which is Halloween.  It is a design that was on the Missouri Star Quilt companies Youtube.  Here is the link for it:

As I mentioned earlier with the Eleanor Burns's Quick Trip quilt top, I found the youtube tutorial on it too for you to look at:

I hope these links are helpful for you.

Baby Quilt

Here is one of the quilts that I have been working on.  This is Eleanor Burn's Quick Trip quilt design.  It was fast to put together.  I think I only spent 8 hours from cutting to finishing with the binding.  I worked on it in a two day 4 hour sections.  I quilted it on the same sewing machine I pieced it on.  A Singer 7462.

More Info:  This quilt uses 6 fat quarters and about 1/2 yard of two different fabrics for the outer boarders.  Finished size was approximately 45 inches by 50 inches.

This is the second Quick Trip Baby Quilt I have done.  I highly recommend this design if you need a quick baby gift.

Quilting!

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy quilting up a storm.  So I have decided to keep the blog going even tho the fabric business has closed it's doors.   I will be putting up patterns, quilts and anything else I have been working on for all to see.

Check out these free patterns at Moda:

They are always updating these, so save the link.

I have been thinking about taking some of my flower pictures and converting them into quilts.  Should be fun to see how they turn out.  I thought these might be interesting....

Closing Needles-N-Quilts, LLC.

It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Needles-N-Quilts, LLC. is shutting it doors at this time.  If the economy changes for the better, then it might have a chance to open it's doors again.  Until then, I hope you enjoyed the fabrics, patterns and information that was shared about the quilting, sewing and the crafting world.  I will leave you with these final images..... and urls.....

Happy Sewing, Quilting and Crafting!
